Which are you??

 

There are two kinds of people on earth today,

Just two kinds of people, no more I say;

Not the sinner and saint, for its well understood,

The good are half bad and the bad are half good.

Nor the rich and the poor, for to count a man’s wealth

You must first know the state of his conscience and health;

No the two kinds of people on earth that I mean

Are the people who lift and the people who lean.

Wherever you go, you will find the earth masses

Are always divided in just these two classes;

and, oddly enough, you will find too, I’ve seen,

There is only one lifter to twenty that lean.

 

We in Capitular Masonry are blessed with many lifters who make the load easy indeed. To thank each one would take more than this space will afford. Our Chapters however need many more lifters and I am sure that many will come forward to share the load.

 

Our Senior Past Grand High Priest Charles A. Cross recently lost his wife. There were no public services or calling hours, but I am sure he would appreciate cards. Send cards to Mr. Charles A. Cross, 10 Briarcliff Lane, Paxton, MA 01612.

 

Our Spring Charity Event will be held Saturday, April 10, 2004, at the Indian Ranch. The entertainment will be a Frank Sinatra impersonator. A ham and turkey family style dinner will be served at a cost of $30.00 each. Tickets are available by contacting your D.D.G.H. Priest.

There are York rite festivals this year. Our One Day Class will be held on April 3, 2004, at the Masonic apartments in Milford, MA., followed by a One Day class for the Grand Council April 17, 2004 and The Grand Commandery on May 1, 2004.

 

I had the honor and pleasure last Saturday evening February 21, 2004 to be at a Testimonial for one of our Lifters, R\E\Raymond Ciani, Past District Deputy Grand High Priest for the Fourth Capitular District. He is a very dedicated mason.

 

Feb. 28 - Your Grand High Priest will be in attendance at the Reception for the Grand Scribe R\E\Richard A. McDonald.

Mar. 4, 5, &6 - Your Grand High Priest will be in attendance at The Annual Grand Chapter meeting of New York.

Mar. 7 - Your Grand High Priest will be in attendance at the Reception of our Grand King in Fall River at 1: P.M.

Mar. 8 - Your Grand High Priest will be received at 8:00 P.M. in Fall River R.A.C, Fall River, MA.

Mar. 10 - Your Grand High Priest will be in attendance at The Grand Lodge Quarterly Meeting in Boston.

Mar. 12, & 13 - Grand High priest will be in attendance at The Annual Grand Chapter Meeting of Delaware.

Mar.14, 15, &16 – Your Grand High Priest will be in attendance at The Annual Grand Chapter meeting of South Carolina.

Mar. 19, &20 - Your Grand High priest will be in attendance at the Annual Grand Chapter meeting of the District of Columbia.

Mar. 26, &27 - Your Grand High Priest will be in attendance at the Annual Assembly of the Grand Royal and Select Master Masons of Massachusetts, in Mansfield, MA.
