Dear Companions:

To be a Companion is to be more than a comrade, more than a friend, and more than a brother. As Companions we should have compassion and sympathy for other Companion’s misfortunes and sorrow, and delight for other Companion’s fortunes and joys. One should communicate news about others misfortunes and joys, and those who receive such communications should always respond in some way to your Companion’s news. More people are content to complain about no cards or calls made to them while is distress, but never let anyone know that they are in distress. If a Companion goes in the hospital or is recovering from an aliment please have your wife or friends communicate to the High Priest or Secretary of your Chapter. Without knowledge of the misfortune no one can respond.

On my visitations to other Grand Jurisdictions, I have met many fine Companions. I am sure that we will remain close friends for many years. I also have noticed several differences in the way they govern their Jurisdictions and welcome their guests. It is interesting how each Jurisdiction’s protocol differs, especially the way the Grand Masters are treated. I hope that all companions would be able to attend different Jurisdictions in order to meet new Companions and witness the differences.

M\E\ Frank G. Williams, Jr. one of our Past Grand High Priests is recovering at home from a recent illness. I am sure he would be delighted to receive cards from our Companions. His address is P.O.Box 865, Seabrook, NH 03874.

Our Grand Chapter’s Degree Team has been invited to present the Royal Arch Degree on Friday, June 27, 2003 at the Annual Strawberry Festival of Maine Chapter # 73 in Kittery, Maine.
